Each piece is individually hand built with white ceramic stoneware. They are then bisque fired in an electric kiln. Some are left the resulting matte white color. Some are pit fired outdoors which gives them the smokey shakes and some some have color hand painted with acrylic paint. The artwork with white backings is mounted on canvas board backed with masonite. Each head is attached to a painted wood block which attached to the backing.

The pieces that are shown framed come with the black metal frame and it is the only option.They all have hanging devices in the back and are a little heavy but easy to hang.Work that is not mounted has hanging devices on the back.
